I had a few takeaways Well, last year I had an entire syllabus laid out for the year and I was going in for the deep dive. It Was a Rough Year Well, the title should say it all. I’m not making excuses; it truly was a rough year. Shortly before my mom’s cancer started to spread, and the treatments left her no quality of life. So, she decided to discontinue them. My sister and I had major fights over whether or not she should drive, what kind of home care she should have and such things. Then as it progressed and got worse, it was what the PT was going to be and the home help with showering and cooking, home nursing and treatments she should have.

Monticello, Slave Row Gallery I left slave row for last, as it is by nature an issue still being resolved today through the “Black Lives Matter” and similar movements. It was easy to find a quote by Thomas Jefferson about slavery, but the point that he owned and used slavery to advance his life made that almost mute. The quote that I’m offering from him, I think reflects more the contradiction of the time he found himself in, without excusing the way he lived.
